News Center- Iranian authorities have allowed imprisoned Nobel Peace Prize laureate Narges Mohammadi to be hospitalized after almost nine weeks of feeling sick, the free Narges Coalition, a campaign group for Narges Mohammadi, announced on Sunday.

The campaign group called on Iranian authorities to grant Narges Mohammadi a medical furlough to receive comprehensive treatment for multiple conditions, saying, “Just transferring her to the hospital will not address the severe health issues caused by months of neglect and deprivation.”

In February 2022, Narges Mohammadi was transferred to the hospital and underwent an angiography. Since the main artery of her heart had 75% blockage, a stent was placed in that artery.

Narges Mohammadi has been also suffering from acute back and knee pain, including a herniated spinal disc.
