News Center- The mother of labor activist Sharifeh Mohammadi released a video message on Monday saying that she has heard from her daughter for seven months. “Just tell me how my daughter is and the accusations against her.”

Sharifeh Mohammadi, a prominent advocate for workers’ rights, was arrested at her home in Rasht on December 5,2023 by Revolutionary Guard intelligence forces. She was transferred from Lakan Prison to Sanandaj Prison on December 30, 2023 and then transferred back to the Lakan prison in Rasht.

In the video message, her mother says that she has visited the Lakan prison several times but she has been prevented from seeing her daughter. “They arrested my daughter about seven months ago and I have not heard from her since then. During my visits to the prison, I asked the prison authorities to give me information about my daughter. I begged them to give me information about her but they did not.”

Pointing out that her son was arrested in Iraq several years ago, she said, “I could not sleep for days until my son returned home. He returned but now I am worried about my daughter Sharifeh.

Since December 2023, Sharifeh Mohammadi has been held in solitary confinement without trial and the accusations against her are still unknown.
