More than 300 Yazidis return to Shengal

More than 300 Yazidis left the IDPs camps in Duhok and returned to Shengal, Iraqi Ministry of Displacement and Migration (MDM) reported on Wednesday.

News Center- More than 300 Yazidis left the IDP camps in Duhok and returned to Shengal (Sinjar), Evan Jabro Yacoub, Iraqi Minister of Migration and Displaced, said in a statement on Wednesday.

The return of more than 300 Yazidis was coordinated by the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the minister added.

Since the Iraqi government announced that all IDPs camps would be closed down by July 30, 2024, the number of Yazidis returning to Shengal has increased.
