News Center_ Houthi violations against civilians in Yemen have taken on a broad and systematic character, including direct killing, indiscriminate shelling, forced recruitment of children, enforced disappearance, torture, confiscation of property, and the militarization of civilian facilities, which constitute violations of their human rights.

Medical and field sources reported yesterday, Thursday, September 10, that the Houthis targeted with a missile a civilian convoy carrying dozens of displaced families from Hays, Al-Khawkhah, and Al-Mokha while heading toward Aden, causing fires that consumed about 15 vehicles, and indicating a large number of casualties among the passengers.

According to the initial toll, the number of victims exceeded 100, most of them women and children, while dozens of others were injured, including critical cases. A number of the injured were transferred to hospitals in Aden to receive treatment, while medical teams continue to deal with the effects of the attack and count the number of victims.

The attack comes amid escalating military tensions on the western coast and increasing targeting of civilian infrastructure and movement corridors. It also reflects the expansion of operations that directly affect civilians, at a time when the humanitarian crisis in Yemen is worsening with the continuation of the conflict and the deterioration of basic services.
