According to the received reports, Branch 101 of the Second Criminal Court of Bukan sentenced Mina Soltani Zareh to eight months in prison, with a bail of one million tomans on charges of “propaganda against the system” and “appearing in public without hijab.”
On September 11, 2024, Mina Soltani Zareh was arrested in a house raid conducted by Iranian security forces. After 21 days in detention, she was temporarily released on bail from Urmia prison on October 1, 2024.
Shahryar Mohammadi, a 29-year-old resident of Bukan, was shot and killed by Iranian security forces during the “Jin, Jiyan, Azadi” uprising in Bukan.
