Marchers for freedom come together in Amed
Two groups started the “Great Freedom March” in Kars and Van on February 1 to demand the physical freedom of Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan and a democratic resolution to the Kurdish question. The marchers came together in Amed today.
News Center- Politicians and the representatives of democratic organizations started the “Great Freedom March” in Kars and Van on February 1 to demand the physical freedom of Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan and a democratic resolution to the Kurdish question. Today, the marchers came together in the Palûkê (Çarıklı) neighborhood of Amed (Diyarbakır).
The group started the march in Kars and the group started the march in Van came together today at the junction of Xana Axpar (Çınar) and- Bismîl district of Amed. The marchers gave flowers to each other.
The marchers, who wore white vests for 13 days, wore black vests to protest the international conspiracy against Abdullah Öcalan on February 15, 1999. Then, they began to march to the city center of Amed.
