Sulaymaniyah - Journalist, writer and academic Nagihan Akarsel, member of Jineology Academy and editor of Jineology magazine was killed as a result of an armed attack in Sulaymaniyah on October 4. The women’s struggle for freedom never ends, activist Kewser Mihemed said that they will strengthen the struggle of Nagihan Akarsel.

“The struggle will never end”

Stating that Nagihan Akarsel tried to liberate all women with the slogan “Jin Jiyan Azadi”, Kewser Mihemed said, “She was a strong woman. She worked in four parts of Kurdistan for women. She wrote many articles about women. I feel very sad that such a strong woman was killed in Sulaymaniyah. All women have been targeted in the person of Nagihan Akarsel. They want to stop the struggle of Kurdish women. But they will fail. The struggle will never end. We will strengthen the struggle of Nagihan Akarsel with the Jin, Jiyan, Azadi slogan.”
