Amed (Diyarbakır)- Journalist Selamet Turan, who was taken into custody in a dawn house raid on her home in the Cizîr (Cizre) district of Şırnak province on February 9, was transferred to Amed as part of an investigation launched by the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

Yesterday, she was referred to Diyarbakır Courthouse after three days in police custody.

Selamet Turan has been sent to prison on charges of “membership in a (terrorist) organization”.
