News Center- Jinnews, an all-women news agency based in Amed (Diyarbakır), has released its January 2024 report on femicide by compiling news from local and national newspapers, news websites and news agencies.

27 women and four children were killed, 17 more women and three children died under suspicious circumstances in Turkey, according to the report.

“Nine women were killed by their husbands, two by their ex-husbands, one by her father, two by their sons, four by their partners, four by men they knew, one by unknown man, one by her son-in-law, two by their ex-partners, one by her neighbor,” the report said.
