News Center — Shelling on Lebanon continues at a high pace in recent days, with Israeli strikes expanding and the number of casualties rising. The attacks include airstrikes, artillery shelling, and limited incursions.

The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced on Friday evening, September 4, the killing of 3 people and the injury of 23 others in strikes targeting various areas. It noted that the town of Ramadiyah in the Tyre district saw one death and 15 injuries, including paramedics, women, and children, while two deaths were recorded in Kfar Rouman, and others were injured in Nabatieh Al‑Fawqa and the town of Meifdoun.

The National News Agency also reported that a Syrian national was injured in the Western Bekaa, and that Israeli strikes targeted homes and the vicinity of facilities in Nabatieh, including the Al‑Rouiss neighborhood and Tallet Al‑Dabsha, as well as the towns of Kfar Rouman and Meifdoun.

The Israeli attacks continue despite the signing of a ceasefire agreement between Lebanon and Israel last June, which provided for a gradual withdrawal of Israeli forces from the south and the deployment of the Lebanese army.

Since March 2, Israeli shelling has killed 4,350 people and injured 12,307 others, in addition to displacing more than one million people, according to Lebanese authorities.
