Iranian security forces arrest activist’s mother and sister
Iranian security forces raided the home of Mehdi Kokhian, activist and former political prisoner from Malekan, forcibly arresting his mother and sister on Monday.
News Center- Iranian security forces raided Monday the home of Mehdi Kokhian, activist and former political prisoners from Malekan, and forcibly arrested his mother, Frangis Fathi (68) and his sister Akram Kokhian (46) in Malekan, a city in Iran’s East Azerbaijan province.
Mehdi Kokhian, currently living in Germany, wrote on his Instagram that his mother and sister had been arrested and taken to an unknown location. He said that the security forces had stormed his family's home and broke windows and doors and used pepper spray against them.
The reason for their arrest and the charges against them are still unknown.
