Iranian authorities release women protesters on bail
The Iranian authorities have released many women protesters on bail. Women have to pay a large amount of money to be released from prison.
News Center- Thousands of people have been arrested in Iran for participating in the nationwide protests that sparked in Iran and Rojhilat following the killing of Jina Mahsa Amini by Iran’s so-called “morality police”. The Iranian authorities have released some of the protesters on bail. Maliheh Habibi was released from prison on a bail of 500 million Iranian Tomans on January 7, 2023 by an Iranian court.
Maliheh Habibi, a medical staff of Masih Daneshvari Hospital, was arrested on December 29 and her spouse Masoud Behboudi was arrested two days later.
Majkan Valianzadeh, who was arrested by Iranian police for participating in the nationwide protests, has also been released from prison on a bail of 300 million Iranian Tomans.
Bianca Zia released on bail
38 year-old Bianca Zia, an Iranian Assyrian woman, is another woman, who has been released on bail by the Iranian authorities. She was arrested and transferred to Evin Prison for writing a pro- revolutionary article on social media. She has also been released on bail.
Fahima Sadat Hashemi, a math teacher in Shiraz, is another woman, who has been released on bail in Iran. She was arrested in front of her home by Iranian security forces on December 5, 2022.
