Iran: At least 16 protesters tortured to death in custody
The Volunteer Committee to Follow-Up on the Situation of Detainees has released a report saying at least 16 protesters have been tortured to death in custody since the start of nationwide protests in Iran.
News Center - Tens of thousands of people have been taken into custody for participating in nationwide protests since the murder of Jina Mahsa Amini in Tehran by Iranian so-called “Morality police”. The Volunteer Committee to Follow-Up on the Situation of Detainees released a report on Wednesday, January 4. According to the report, at least 16 protesters have been tortured to death in custody since September.
The report also included the following names of protesters who were tortured to death in custody: Ramin Fatehi, Yusuf Raisi, Mohammad Lotfolahi, Hamed Selahshor, Shadman Ahmadi, Shahryar Adeli, Ahmed Guderzi, Amirjavad Asadzadeh, Hayman Aman, Ismail. Dezwar, Omid Hosni, Mohammad Haji Rasoolpour, Iliad Rahmanipour, Milad Khoshkam, Saman Qadirpour and Mehdi Zare Ashkzari.
