On February 15, 2025, the members of the Imrali Delegation consisting of Pervin Buldan, Sırrı Süreyya Önder, Democratic Regions Party (DBP) Co-chair Keskin Bayındır, DEM Party Foreign Affairs Commission Co-spokesperson Berdan Öztürk, DEM Party MPs Gülcan Kaçmaz Sayyiğit and Mehmet Kamaç and lawyers from the Asrin Law Office arrived in Erbil to hold meetings with political representatives of Southern Kurdistan.
According to the statement issued by the DEM Party, the delegation held a 45-minute meeting with Masrour Barzani, Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, on Wednesday morning, giving information about the meetings with Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan in the prison island of Imrali. “The delegation concluded its talks and will return to Türkiye today,” said the statement.
