Heavy rain kills 10 people in Pakistan
10 people, including five children, have been killed and two children have gone missing due to heavy rain in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
News Center- Heavy rain in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa over the past two days killed at least 10 people, including five children. Five people, including three children, were buried in the rubble after their house collapsed due to rain in Bajaur, a tribal district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Two children went missing when the roof of their room collapsed the district of Shangla, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) said in a statement.
The rains also wreaked havoc on the crops in the Khyber tribal district, Peshawar, Nowshera, and Charsadda districts. Ghulam Abbas, the deputy director for the National Highway Authority for Shangla and Kohistan, confirmed the roads were blocked in Kohistan, an administrative district within the Hazara region of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and in Diamer, a district in the Gilgit-Baltistan region.
According to the local reports, many houses in Pakistan’s Peshawar, Nowshera and Bannu cities and in Shahgla and Bajaur have been damaged by the torrential rains.
