General strike in Rojhelat for Mahsa Amini
A general strike has been started in the cities of Rojhelat for Mahsa Amini, who was tortured to death by the Iranian regime. Shops were closed up; children did not go to school in Piranshahr, Mahabad, Sanandaj, Saqqez and Shino.
News Center- Mahsa Amini, 22, was detained by Iranian morality police for improperly wearing the hijab on September 14 when she was on a visit to Tehran with her family. She was hospitalized after being tortured in custody by morality police. After fighting for her life in a coma, she passed away at hospital on September 16. Since her death, many protests have been held across the country. NGOs, political parties and activists called for a general strike in Iran and Rojhelat (Eastern Kurdistan).
Today, shopkeepers closed up their shops and children did not go to school in Piranshahr, Mahabad, Sanandaj, Saqqez and Shino. The footage from these cities show that all people have joined the general strike.
