News Center- Necmi Yüksekdağ, brother of Figen Yüksekdağ, former co-chair of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP), died in Adana on November 1 due to health problems. The body of Necmi Yüksekdağ was brought to his family house in the Gaziosmanpaşa neighborhood of Adana’s Ceyhan district today.

 Figen Yüksekdağ attended his funeral

The lawyers of Figen Yüksekdağ  requested their client to attend her brother’s funeral in Adana. After their request was accepted, Figen Yüksekdağ was brought to Adana by gendarmes and then to her family house in Ceylan.

Necmi Yüksekdağ was buried in the Gökova Cemetery, located in the district of Yumurtalık. The funeral ceremony was attended by many people, including Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (HEDEP) Co-chair Tülay Hatimoğulları, HEDEP MPs Pervin Buldan, Ali Bozan and Adelet Kaya, Socialist Party of the Oppressed (ESP) Co-chairs Özlem Gümüştaş and Şahin Tümüklü.

After the funeral ceremony, Figen Yüksekdağ was taken to Adana Şakirpaşa Airport to be taken back to the Kandıra F-type Prison.
