Fars Teachers' Union: Some misogynists having the mentality of ISIS and Taliban are determined to destroy women
The Teachers’ Union in Fars Province of Iran issued a written statement about Mahsa Amini, who was tortured to death by the “morality police”.
News Center- The Iranian people continue to take to the streets to protest the killing of Mahsa Amini by the morality police in Tehran for improperly wearing the hijab while NGOs and unions continue to issue statements. The Fars Province Teachers’ Union issued a written statement emphasizing that the mentality of those who killed Mahsa Amini is the same mentality of ISIS and Taliban.
Call for the abolition of the morality police
In the statement, the union stated that the mandatory hijab wearing has been used as persecution against women in Iran and Rojhelat for decades and called for the abolition of the morality police. “Some misogynists having the mentality of ISIS and Taliban are determined to destroy women,” the statement said.
The union also underlined that the death of Mahsa Amini sparks anger and protests across Iran and all people mourn for her.
