DFG condemns killing of 2 journalists in NE Syria

The Dicle Fırat Journalists’ Association (DFG) has released a statement, condemning the killing of two journalists, Nazım Daştan and Cihan Bilgin, by a Turkish drone in North and East Syria.

News Center- The Dicle Fırat Journalists’ Association (DFG) has released a statement, condemning the killing of two journalists, Nazım Daştan and Cihan Bilgin, by a Turkish drone on the road between Tishreen Dam and the town of Sirîn, on Thursday.

 “Free Press workers Nazım Daştan and Cihan Bilgin, who were covering the recent developments in North and East Syria, were targeted on the road between Tishreen Dam and the town of Sirîn at around 3:20 PM yesterday. The two journalists were killed by a Turkish drone. Aziz Haj Bozan, the driver of the vehicle, was injured in the attack. We condemn the attack targeting our colleagues. We will demand accountability for this massacre everywhere and we will not allow the killers to go unpunished. Nazım and Cihan were two precious journalists reporting the truth from North and East Syria. By getting strength from them, we will persistently keep reporting the truth.”
