Ankara-The Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) Women’s Council has published a statement on social media X regarding the killing of journalists Cihan Bilgin and Nazım Daştan by a Turkish drone strike in North and East Syria.

 ‘Türkiye must immediately stop committing crimes’

 The attacks of Türkiye and Turkish-backed Syrian National Army (SNA) on North and East Syria are against women and the Kurdish people, the statement emphasized, saying, “Free press workers Nazım Daştan and Cihan Bilgin were killed in a Turkish drone attack while covering the attacks in North and East Syria. We call on all those who are sensitive to the crimes against humanity to raise their voices. The AKP government and authorities must immediately make a statement on the attack and stop committing such crimes. We condemn this attack on press freedom. You cannot silence the truth.”
