DEM Party and TJA delegation visits women in Sulaymaniyah

A delegation consisting of members of the Peoples’ Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) and Free Women’s Movement (TJA) visited the Kurdistan Women’s Union in Sulaymaniyah.

News Center- The visits of the delegation consisting of the members of the Peoples’ Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) and the Free Women’s Movement (Kurdish: Tevgera Jinên Azad-TJA), including DEM Party Şırnak MP Newroz Uysal Aslan, DEM Party Hakkari MP Gülcan Kaçmaz, politician Ayşe Acar Başaran, continue in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. The delegation held a meeting with the representatives of the Kurdistan Women's Union in Sulaymaniyah on Tuesday.

‘We try to solve the problems together’

“We discussed the situation of women in four parts of Kurdistan,” Seywan Rustem, member of the Kurdistan Women’s Union, said after the meeting. “We discussed how we can solve the problems faced by women. We know that the problems faced by women in four parts of Kurdistan are the same. Therefore, we try to strengthen our solidarity with each other to solve the problems together.”

After the meeting, Gülcan Kaçmaz said that they had discussed how they could ensure the physical freedom of Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan and struggle against the attacks in Southern Kurdistan. “We shared our thoughts and ideas with each other about how we can strengthen our cooperation.”
