‘Delayed justice is persecution’
The Şenyaşar family has been demanding justice in front of the Urfa Courthouse for 667 days.
Riha - The sit-in protest held in front of the Urfa Courthouse by Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were murdered in the attack carried out by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP Urfa MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız in the Suruç (Kurdish: Pirsûs) district of Urfa province on June 14, 2018, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar has entered its 667th day.
In the morning, Emine Şenyaşar and her son Ferit Şenyaşar came in front of the courthouse to hold their sit-in protest by unfurling a banner reading, “Justice” and holding a placard reading, “Delayed justice is persecution”.
“DELAYED JUSTICE IS PERSECUTION. The drama has continued in front of the #Şanlıurfa courthouse for 667 days,” the Şenyaşar family posted today on their social media account by tagging the official social media accounts of Turkey’s Ministry of Justice and the Urfa Governorate.
