Conference on Sociology of Freedom kicks off in Hasakah

The Conference on Sociology of Freedom, organized by Kongra Star, has kicked off in Hasakah.

Hasakah-Kongra Star, an umbrella organization of women’s organizations in northeastern Syria, has been holding a conference on Sociology of Freedom at the Marbêla Restaurant in the city of Hasakah, Jazira Canton of North and East Syria, as part of the “Freedom for Abdullah Öcalan and a political solution to the Kurdish question,” campaign. 100 delegates from different cities of North and East Syria have attended the conference.

At the conference, Kongra Star Spokesperson Rîhan Loqo made a speech, saying, “On February 15, 1999, leader Abdullah Öcalan was arrested by an international conspiracy. For 26 years, he has been waging an unprecedented resistance in the prison of the fascist Turkish state. The aim of the system based on torture and genocide is to keep the people of the region separate from the thoughts and philosophy of Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan.”

‘Women’s struggle will end the conspiracy’

Recalling that 21st century will be the century of women, Rîhan Loqo said, “The people of Kurdistan have put their signature under important successes thanks to the spiritual resistance of leader Abdullah Öcalan. Women’s struggle and unity will end the international conspiracy against Abdullah Öcalan and send the invaders out of Kurdistan.”

After the speech of Rîhan Loqo, Heyat El Umeri, a member of Kongra Star, read the perspectives of Abdullah Öcalan. Kongra Star announced that the main topic of the conference was the Sociology of Freedom.
