Mahsa Shafiee released from Yasuj Central Prison

Mahsa Shafiee, sister of Nima Shafiee who was killed during the “Jin, Jiyan, Azadi” revolutionary uprising, has been released from Iran’s Yasuj Central prison after 12 days in detention.

News Center- Mahsa Shafiee, sister of Nima Shafiee who was killed during the “Jin, Jiyan, Azadi” revolutionary uprising, was released from Iran’s Yasuj Central prison on Monday, after 12 days in detention.

24-year-old Mahsa Shafiee was arrested in a house raid conducted by agents of the IRGC Intelligence on her parents’ home in Yasuj on July 17, 2025. She was transferred to Iran’s Yasuj Central prison on July 23, 2025.

The reason for her arrest and the charges against her are still unknown.

Nima Shafiee, also known as Parsa, was killed by Iranian security forces in Yasuj during the “Women, Life, Freedom” uprising in 2022.
