Beyza Buldağ arrested for supporting Boğaziçi protests

Beyza Buldağ, a student of the Mimar Sinan Fine Art University, has been sent to prison by the court on charges of “being an admin of @boundayanisma” on Twitter.
News Center- Beyza Buldağ, a student in the cinema and television department at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University (MSGSÜ), has been sent to prison within the scope of an investigation being conducted against protests against the appointment of Melih Bulu as rector to Boğaziçi University.
Police raided the house of Beyza Buldağ in the Buca district of Izmir province. She was detained and her computer and mobile phone were taken by police. Buldağ was previously a student of Boğaziçi University and then she moved to Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. Buldağ was taken to Şirinyer Police Station in Buca. Then she was sent to Istanbul Çağlayan Courthouse after being questioned.
Prosecutor's office claims that Buldağ is an admin of @boundayanisma, Boğaziçi Solidarity’s Twitter account. Beyza Buldağ was accused of “insulting the President” due to Boğaziçi University’s students’ open letter to the President, and " inciting the population to hatred and hostility” and “inciting the public to commit a crime” due to other posts on the account. Buldağ was sent to court for arrest. Buldağ has been sent to prison by the Istanbul 7th Criminal Court of Peace. The arrest of Buldağ sparks outrages on social media.
