At least 40 civilians were killed in an attack by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on a village in central Sudan on Sunday, a local resistance committee in Abu Gouta said on Monday.
News Center- Since April 15, 2023, Sudan has suffered from a civil war between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) under Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) under Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo (Hemedti), killing tens of thousands of people and displacing approximately 10 million people.
At least 40 civilians were killed in an attack by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces on the Gouz Al-Naqa village of Abu Gouta, central Sudan’s Gezira State, a local resistance committee in Abu Gouta said in a statement on Monday.
The RSF prevents displaced villages from entering the village to bury the dead bodies, according to the statement.
In the statement, the committee calls on civil society organizations to put pressure on the RSF to allow the villagers to enter the village and bury the dead bodies.
