News Center- Arghavan Fallahi, former political prisoner, has been held at the Ministry of Intelligence detention center known as Ward 209 of Evin Prison without charge since she was arrested on January 26, 2025.

According to the local reports, Arghavan Fallahi has been subjected to psychological and physical torture by security forces to obtain a confession from her and security forces have summoned people to make a confession against her.

On January 26, 2025, Arghavan Fallahi was arrested in Parand, a city in Iran’s Tehran province, and transferred to Ward 209 of Evin Prison.

Arghavan Fallahi had been previously arrested on November 4, 2022, during the “Jin, Jiyan, Azadi” uprising. She was transferred to the women’s ward of Evin Prison on charges of “waging war against God,” “corruption on Earth through extensive destructive actions,” and “assembly and collusion against internal and external national security.”

On March 12, 2024, she was released on bail after 494 days in prison.
