Riha- The sit-in protest held in front of the Urfa Courthouse by Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were murdered in the attack carried out by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP Urfa MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız in the Suruç district of Urfa province on June 14, 2018, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar has entered its 542nd day.

In the morning, Emine Şenyaşar and her son Ferit Şenyaşar came in front of the Urfa Courthouse from their home in Suruç to demand justice for their killed relatives again. The family has been holding an exhibition called “Justice Exhibition” in front of the courthouse to mark the 1st September World Peace Day. The photographs showing the family’s struggle, the caricatures drawn to support their struggle for justice and the documents about the moment of the attack on their family members have been displayed at the exhibition. The people going to the courthouse first visit the exhibition before entering the courthouse.

Lawyers visited the family

A delegation, consisting of Urfa Bar Association Head Mehmet Velat İzol, Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Urfa Provincial Co-Chair Ahmet Atış and lawyers, visited the Şenyaşar family after issuing a statement to mark the opening of the judicial year.
