İSİG: 179 workers died in work-related accidents in August
179 workers, including nine women and seven children, died in work-related accidents in August, said the report released by the Laborer Health and Occupational Safety Assembly (İSİG) on Wednesday.

News Center- The Laborer Health and Occupational Safety Assembly (İSİG) has released its August 2024 report on how many workers died in work-related accidents across Türkiye.
179 workers, including nine women and seven children, died in work-related accidents in August, the report said, adding that 47 workers died in the construction sector, 39 in the agriculture/forestry sector, 24 in the transportation sector, 10 in the hospitality sector and eight in the mining sector.
23% of workers died after falling from heights, 22% of workers died in work-related traffic crashes and 18% of workers died after they were trapped under debris.
