News Center- Turkish police conducted dawn raids in Izmir and detained five journalists: JINNEWS reporter Melike Aydın, Mesopotamia Agency (MA) reporters Delal Akyüz, Tolga Güney and Semra Turan and Gazete Duvar reporter Cihan Başakçıoğlu. The journalists have reportedly been taken to the anti-terror bureau in Çankaya.

The reasons for the detention of the journalists is unknown. According to the received reports, a 24-hour lawyer restriction has been imposed on the journalists.
