30 students barred from entering campus of Allameh Tabataba'i University
At least 30 students have reportedly been barred from entering the campus of the Allameh Tabataba'i University for protesting school poisonings.
News Center- At least 30 students have been barred from entering the campus of the Allameh Tabataba'i University for protesting school poisonings between March 7 and 12, according to the social media post of a students’ group.
On March 7, the students of Allameh Tabataba'i University gathered at the university’s central campus to protest school poisonings. However, the university security officers attacked and beat students holding a peaceful protest. The security officers threatened students with arrest. According to a social media post of a students’ group, at least 30 students have been barred from entering the campus of the university for protesting school poisonings. The students’ group also shared the names of some students, who have been barred from entering the campus. The names of the students are: Hasti Amiri, Fereshte Tousi, Nazanin Laleh and Maryam Mahmoudi.
Since the “Jin, Jiyan, Azadi” protests that started in Iran and Rojhilat following the killing of Jina Mahsa Amin, thousands of students have been barred from entering universities.
