Kobani_ In the Middle East and the world, what is called the Third World War is taking a more clear from day by day. According to ongoing to developments and realities, it appears there are projects of genocide specifically targeting the projects, revolutions, and achievements won by women; in fact, some have already begun.

Within the framework of the ongoing war and the crises it generates, in addition to the attacks on women and their decisions to defend themselves, Khinav Khalil, a member of the Star Congress Coordination in Kobani, Rojava, states that this war is pushing the Middle East towards further chaos and profound developments.

In this war, attacks on women's existence and identity are increasing significantly, she affirms. "It is essential for women to explore how, in the midst of this war, they can strengthen their organization and struggle and continue it."

On the level of the Middle East and the world in general, it is evident that the Third World War is underway. "If we ask the question: why and how is this war being waged? We will arrive at the truth that in the first stage, the aim is to dismantle society, to bring about massacres and genocide of the existing peoples and nations."

Naturally, this war itself brings with it dozens of social, economic, diplomatic, and other crises. Therefore, "the societies of the Middle East, as a result of these wars, have fallen into a state of vacuum where they no longer see solutions other than thinking about war. This chaos intensifies and deepens with successive waves of war, and we too see ourselves within the reality of this war and are living it."

"A Project is Being Implemented to Destroy the System of Women"

There is no doubt that this war directly affects women, but this time, beyond genocide and killing, the endeavor is the "annihilation of women's existence, will, and identity." In this regard, there exists, in particular, "a plan aimed at eliminating the pioneering role of women and removing societies that organize themselves according to a democratic, free, and just women's system."

She believes that "this project is not limited to Kurdish women only; rather, the ongoing attacks target the nation of women in general." In this context, women complement each other as an interconnected link, whether in Kurdistan, the Middle East, or the world. Therefore, "today there is an urgent need for a women's gathering and unity at the level of the Middle East and the world. Only in this way can we continue our struggle to protect our identity and existence and stand against the project of women's genocide."

In the projects of hegemonic powers like Israel and the United States of America, work is underway to "redesign the Middle East" in collaboration with jihadist groups and extremist gangs, as Khinav Khalil explains. This mentality "is fundamentally based on the annihilation of women and the ethical and political society. In facing that, what should the role and message of Kurdish women be within what is called the third line?"

She clarified that "we particularly observe that nation-state powers and patriarchal systems try to implement this project through a system based on armed groups, because talking about democratic society essentially means highlighting the will of women and youth. If that is achieved, the projects of hegemony and power will automatically disappear."

For this reason, she points out, "these powers, in order to protect their hegemony, attack democratic societies by many means, often through the methods of gangs and armed organizations. The goal is to keep society under their authority and make it always live under the sovereignty of the nation-state mentality. To achieve this, very big projects are being implemented today in the Middle East. The war taking place in Iran is also within this framework and for the same purpose. Currently, every power is trying to prepare for the coming wars and expand its sphere of hegemony."

Regarding how women can build and protect their system based on the project of leader Abdullah Öcalan, she affirmed that the project that can offer a solution for the Middle East and be a force for protecting women is the "project of the democratic nation and the call for peace and democratic society put forward by leader Öcalan."

She explains that leader Öcalan also emphasized in his messages that if given the opportunity, he could resolve all crises through political and legal means. This, she indicates, is a "truth" meaning this project can be a way out for the Middle East.

Particularly, women's freedom, which is one of the fundamental principles of this project, can be a force for resolution for women. "In the approach of free women and the philosophy of Jin, Jiyan, Azadî (Women, Life, Freedom), which has become global today, we see that women now possess strong organization and their struggle is based on this philosophy. Therefore, it is important for us as women to protect our philosophy and strengthen our work according to the principles of women's freedom."

Khinav Khalil pointed out the targeting of women's liberation projects. "In the ongoing war, there is the reality that women face a genocide project. Therefore, we as women are required to expand our existing struggle circle, wage a common struggle, and for every woman to see herself as part of this freedom project."

The Government Targets Liberation Projects

She affirmed that the attacks on the free women's approach are very significant. The most prominent example is the attacks and attempts to deny the Women's Protection Units (YPJ). "The Women's Protection Units, through their struggle, have become an identity and a philosophy. Today, they have transformed into a force that can even be defined as international, with women from many nationalities and countries joining them. However, at present, according to ongoing agreements, the current government does not accept these units, nor does it recognize them as a primary force for protecting women. Not only that, but the prevailing mentality does not accept in any form the philosophy of women, their existence, identity, or works. This stance shows that the project of women's genocide has been put into practice, and they want to begin removing women's achievements."

"We Have Made Great Sacrifices"

She explained that the women of Rojava are waging a struggle to protect the achievements gained through the Rojava Revolution. "We have made great efforts and immense sacrifices to reach this stage. Therefore, it is no longer easy for us to submit to any party. We will continue our struggle, also against the current government, to consolidate women's will, identity, and existence. We affirm once again that we are living through a major crisis, and women are at the heart of this chaos."

Khinav Khalil, member of the Star Congress Coordination in Kobani, Rojava, concluded her talk by affirming that "to overcome this crisis successfully, we need a strong struggle and to strengthen our political and diplomatic work. Only in this way can we ensure our existence and protect our identity. Through the philosophy of Jin, Jiyan, Azadî and the approach of free women, we will expand our struggle circle more than ever and foil the projects of hegemonic powers and armed gangs."
